My journey with Greek cuisine began when I took over the running of the family souvlatzídiko (souvlaki shop) in Galissas on Syros island several years ago. The business was established in 1997. What started as a simple appreciation for the fresh, vibrant flavours of Mediterranean cooking has blossomed into a passionate exploration of authentic Hellenic recipes.
Living here has given me the privilege of learning from family, local cooks, shopping at traditional laïkés (farmers' markets), and discovering regional specialities that have been passed down through generations. I've been welcomed into Greek kitchens, watched yiayiádes (grandmothers) work their magic, and learnt that the best recipes are often the simplest.
This website is my way of sharing these culinary treasures with you. Each recipe has been adapted for the home cook, with clear instructions and readily available ingredients, whilst staying true to traditional Greek methods and flavours.
